Chamotte bricks

The word chamut is originally a German word, and a part of raw materials (including: plastic clay, kaolin, flint clay, bentonite, fire clay) that is pre-cooked and later mixed with raw materials is called chamut.

Shamouti brick is also one of the new building materials that comes in different sizes and colors. This brick is mostly used in the exterior and interior of the building, including for the inside of the fireplace, iron smelting industry, building facade, steel casting, metal melting furnace, etc. It is used and the word non-combustible that is used for it does not mean its complete resistance to fire, but it can withstand heat up to certain temperatures.

Shamouti brick is a type of refractory brick that is composed of silicon oxide (SiO2) in the amount of 50 to 85% and aluminum oxide (Al2O3) in the amount of 10 to 45%, as well as other materials such as sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium, titanium and iron oxides. It is made with lower percentages.

The classification of chamotte brick based on its shape, color (pale cream to pale brown), dimensions, application and properties can be different, but its classification based on production and construction includes dry pressing, semi-dry pressing and plastic pressing.

Chamouti firebrick generally weighs about 3.5 kg and its temperature tolerance is about 1260 degrees, its openings are 50 (10 openings), 70 (12 openings) and 90 (16 openings) cm.
